Smoke Free Environment
Continuing our efforts and encouraging healthy behavior and lifestyle changes we are pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2009 we have instituted a smoke free environment at all of our locations. A smoke free environment includes, but is not limited to, the building, inside and out, all entrances, exits and all parking areas located around the building. Shields Health Care feels that this is in the best interest in the health and well being of all our patients and visitors.
While we understand that everyone has different needs, we feel in the interest of all of the lives we touch on a daily basis that this is a key initiative. We want to encourage you and remain true to our belief that promoting healthy lifestyles will yield positive results.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all buildings and properties owned or leased by Shields Health Care Group as well as on the grounds of those facilities, including:
- Lounges and public spaces
- Lavatories
- Cafeterias
- Building entryways
- Parking lots and garages
