Shields Health Care Group has just added the SOMATOM EMOTION scanner to its facility in Brockton at 265 Westgate Drive. The new CT scanner will improve diagnosis and treatment of patients in the Brockton area and surrounding communities.
The new SOMATOM CT provides the finest image quality while reducing x-ray dose to the patient. Its innovative design provides optimal patient comfort by eliminating the closed-in feeling which patients sometimes associate with CT scanning. The scanner will be able to scan patients in a single breath hold, which results in more accurate diagnosis while also reducing examination time.
