Carmel Shields

Executive Vice President

Carmel Shields is Executive Vice President of Shields Health Care Group focusing on business development in MRI and Oncology services having previously served as Chief Operating Officer for the MRI Network and previously held Dialysis Business Unit. Prior to joining Shields Health Care Group, Ms. Shields was a Fiscal and Legislative Analyst for the House Committee on Ways and Means, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Carmel holds a BA from Boston College, a JD from New England School of Law, and an MBA from Northeastern University. She currently serves on the board of various not-for-profits including Stonehill College, Park School, CRUDEM Hospital (Milot, Haiti), Nativity Prep – Boston, Crittenton Women’s Union, and the Yawkey House of Possibilities, a respite home for special needs children. In addition, Carmel has been an active member of the Massachusetts Education Management Accountability Board; Chair- Brockton Area Workforce Development Board; Governor's Economic Council; Brockton Visiting Nurses Association and The Fuller Craft Museum.
