Follow-up Visits

We develop close relationships with our referring physicians and their patients, and so patient follow-up care is extremely important to us.

One month follow-up appointment:
Our front office staff will book a follow-up appointment 4-6 weeks after the patient’s last treatment. This appointment is generally booked on or around the patient’s last treatment date, and a courtesy confirmation call is placed to the patient two days prior to the appointment.

Additional follow-up appointments:
Additional follow-up appointments will be scheduled in concert with your oncologist and the Shields Radiation Oncology center, usually interspersed at three month, six month, or one year intervals. Our administrative staff will contact patients to schedule these appointments, and will ensure the radiation oncologist is informed one month in advance. When a patient arrives for follow-up, they will be greeted by our office staff and their file briefly reviewed to ensure no changes have been made to the patient’s address, insurance coverage, or treatment protocols.
