Business Administration
Business Administration oversees the Shields Oncology Service Line for the Shields Health Care Organization. They implement policy and procedure and manage the quality assurance within each of our centers and actively participate in all of our Joint Venture programs that include Cancer Care Committees, In-services, Lectures, and Radiation Safety Committees. They closely monitor each center to ensure that the center is adhering to ACR Guidelines and are in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Karen is a board certified radiation therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. She is a graduate of Laboure College Associate Degree program in radiation therapy and has been practicing in Oncology since 1984. She completed her B.A. in Management at Eastern Nazarene College in 2009.
As Director of Radiation Oncology, she is responsible for the planning, organizing, and overall operation of Shields Oncology Service consistent with the strategic vision of the organization.
She is an active member of both the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Society of Radiation Oncology Administrators, Association of Freestanding Radiation Oncology Centers, and the New England Society of Radiation Therapists.
Karen is a board member at the Maria Droste Agency. She has participated in various cancer walks over the years in support of Cancer Awareness.

Theresa is the Clinical Administrator for Shields Oncology. She oversees the clinical departments in Oncology ensuring regulatory compliance as well as technical conformity. She has more than 20 years of experience in the radiation therapy field as both a direct caregiver and as a manager. Theresa joined Shields Health Care at the South Suburban Oncology Center in 1999 as a staff radiation therapist and was promoted to Chief Therapist in 2007. She is the Chief Therapist for both the Mansfield and Quincy departments.
Theresa earned her Associate’s Degree from Laboure College in the mid 1980s and in 1992 earned her Bachelor of Allied Health Sciences from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.
Theresa is a member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the New England Society of Radiation Therapists. |
